Retired for:

Retired, yet born to live free in society
With no permanent abode but moving from
Place to place along a seemingly traditional circuit,

Feeling like the knight of the road,  part bohemian, part gypsy,

In search of adventure's pasturage or just good food.

Retired to ramble with neither purpose nor objective,
To roam aimlessly or indirectly,
To meander as a river wanders among the rocks,
As the foothills wandered off to the south.

Retired to take one direction or another
Without conscious control, to travel about,
On, or through a nest of Interstates in search of
A new horizon, a taller tree, a warmer sun.
